Nancarrow was an unusual conversion of a range of grade two listed barns near Zelah just off the A30 in Cornwall. The project had been in the planning and budgeting stage for some time, and Chapman are pleased to have assisted in this process well before construction commenced. The barns were tastefully converted to provide wedding accommodation and catering facilities, whilst an impressive specially designed timber-framed building was crafted for the wedding ceremonies themselves. Guests traveling from Cornwall and further afield now benefit from the easy access off the main A30 and plenty of available on-site parking. Great memories of the big day are ensured by the character backdrop provided by the buildings and features such as the attractive mill pond which forms part of the scheme. The conversion work was designed by NHB Architectural Services of Truro who helped P Chapman ensure the character of the buildings was retained and enhanced by the scheme. Conversions are always a tricky prospect, and we were really delighted to work so closely with the Nancarrow team to turn these lovely old buildings into such a wonderful environment for people to enjoy on their special day. We’ve followed the project's success closely and look forward to the opportunity of working with the clients again in the near future.
